Mwingi Mp hopeful CPA John Makau Kimwele Calls for Peace, Backs Kalonzo’s 2027 Bid

Mwingi Central parliamentary aspirant CPA John Makau Kimwele has urged residents to uphold peace, unity, and coexistence among communities, particularly between Kamba and Somali traders, following recent unrest in the area.

Speaking during a fundraising event at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Nguni Parish, Kimwele condemned the recent demonstrations that led to looting, destruction of businesses, and loss of property worth millions. He cautioned against violence, emphasizing that stability and harmony are more important than political differences or directives from leaders.

Kimwele called on neighboring communities to strengthen social cohesion and maintain cordial relations, noting that peaceful coexistence is key to economic growth and community development in Mwingi Central.

At the same time, he rallied residents to support Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka in his anticipated 2027 presidential bid, urging local leaders to unite behind the Wiper Party leader. He stressed the importance of political unity in advancing the region’s interests at the national level.

He also encouraged eligible voters to register in large numbers ahead of the next general election, saying increased voter turnout will empower residents to elect leaders of their choice.

Kimwele reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people of Mwingi Central, calling for collective responsibility in safeguarding peace and shaping the constituency’s political future.
