MOMBASA -Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe has urged his executive team to remain focused on delivering results and securing a strong legacy as their term nears its end.
Speaking while officially opening the Executive Working Consultative Sessions in Mombasa, the Governor highlighted the delivery of over 2,900 development projects since 2022 across sectors such as water, health, agriculture, and infrastructure. Key flagship initiatives include the Kangu Kangu water pipeline, expanded health facilities, and major road works.
The Governor noted that the sessions aim to take stock of performance over the last four years and consolidate achievements into a coherent and verifiable scorecard. The forum will also align leadership towards the successful delivery of final-year priorities and define a clear legacy for the administration.
CALL FOR COORDINATION AND STRATEGY
Dr. Malombe called for stronger coordination, strategic communication, and data-driven decision making to navigate political and economic challenges ahead of the 2027 General Election. He warned against misinformation that could undermine the county’s development record.
He further stressed the importance of disciplined execution, saying, “A vision without action is merely a dream; action without vision just passes the time; but vision with action can change the world.”
The sessions are facilitated with support from moderators drawn from the Council of Governors to guide discussions and strengthen strategic alignments
