Kitui County Governor, HE Dr. Julius Malombe, EGH, hosts actors from the Neema Show. The popular Citizen TV series airs every weekday after the 7 o’clock news.
“Every effort to make Kitui a better place is welcome, and marketing Kitui as a tourism destination is a noble idea,” said Dr. Malombe in his welcoming remarks to the Neema cast.
The team is seeking to partner with the County to help showcase and promote the Kitui County Tourism Circuit, which is being developed by the County Ministry of Tourism, Hospitality, and Game Reserves.
Kitui falls under the Tsavo Ecosystem, borders Meru and Kora National Parks to the north, and has two game reserves. With its scenic landscapes and the iconic Nzambani Rock, Kitui’s tourism potential is monumental.
While presenting the Ministry’s circuit overview, HE Wambua Kanani, who is also the CECM in charge of the ministry, expressed his commitment to making Kitui the next top tourism destination. “With such partners, Kitui will leverage the cast’s wide reach to popularise and market its attraction sites and woo relevant investors,” said HE Wambua Kanani.
