Kitui Rural political leader Mark Nding’o has condemned the reported attack on the convoy of Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka in Garissa, describing the incident as an act of cowardice.
Nding’o said political leaders should be free to traverse and campaign in any part of the country without facing intimidation, violence or disruption.
He called on political actors and security agencies to uphold the right of leaders to engage with citizens freely, regardless of their political affiliations.
> “The attack was an act of cowardice and must be condemned. All leaders must be allowed to campaign anywhere in the country,” Nding’o stated.
Nding’o’s remarks come amid heightened political activity as leaders and aspirants intensify grassroots engagements ahead of the 2027 General Election.
He urged Kenyans to embrace political tolerance and ensure that campaigns remain peaceful and focused on ideas, policies and the interests of citizens.
