Kitui County Assembly Hon Nzilu Nzioka aka Kamwana ka Wia’ Nzilu Nzioka is stepping into the spotlight as a leading contender to take over from Makali Mulu in Kitui Central.
The political landscape in Kitui Central is shifting, with Hon. Nzilu Nzioka, the Kyanwithya West MCA and Deputy Speaker of the Kitui County Assembly, gaining traction among supporters as a potential successor to Dr. Makali Mulu, especially if Mulu decides to run for governor in the 2027 General Election.
Nzilu has been busy building a solid grassroots presence, frequently engaging with residents throughout Kitui Central. His supporters see him as a leader who truly understands the needs of the constituency, thanks to his consistent interactions with everyday citizens, which have helped him carve out a notable political identity ahead of the upcoming election.
During his community outreach efforts, Nzilu has earned the affectionate nickname “Kamwana ka Wia,” a title that embodies the energetic, approachable, and community-oriented leader his supporters admire. His knack for connecting with people from all walks of life has become a hallmark of his political persona.
His supporters also paint him as a relatable and trustworthy leader who remains in touch with the community. Unlike many politicians who tend to vanish after elections, Nzilu’s ongoing grassroots efforts keep him closely connected with residents and local leaders.
On top of his political endeavors, Nzilu’s background in law has opened another door for him to serve the community. As a lawyer, he has provided legal assistance and advice to residents, often stepping in to help those facing legal hurdles without charging a fee.
His time in the County Assembly has also equipped him with valuable experience in legislation, oversight, and representation—skills that his supporters believe will prepare him for the significant role of representing Kitui Central in Parliament.
