Kitui South Member of Parliament Dr. Rachel Nyamai has lauded Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe for his exemplary leadership, describing him as a unifying figure and a “good father” to the people of Kitui.

Speaking during the Jukwaa la Usalama forum held in Kitui County, MP Nyamai emphasized the importance of collaboration between leaders at both county and national levels. The event was graced by Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport Kipchumba Murkomen as the chief guest.

During his address, Governor Malombe highlighted the need for cooperation between the county and national governments, saying the two levels are interdependent and must work together for the benefit of the citizens.

CS Murkomen echoed the governor’s sentiments, commending Malombe for working closely with President William Ruto. He assured the residents that Kitui remains firmly within the President’s development agenda.

MP Nyamai further reaffirmed her commitment to working with the government, stating that development is best achieved through unity and alignment with the national leadership. She also expressed gratitude to President Ruto for approving compensation for Kitui South residents whose land was affected during the construction of the Kitui-Kibwezi road.

The Jukwaa la Usalama forum brought together leaders and stakeholders to discuss matters of security, infrastructure, and community development in Kitui County.

MP Nyamai emphasized that political differences should not hinder service delivery, urging all leaders to put the interests of the people first. She noted that the people of Kitui South deserve continued development, improved infrastructure, and better access to government services, all of which can be achieved through constructive partnerships between leaders.

She also called on residents to support government initiatives aimed at improving security and economic development in the region. “Let us remain united and peaceful as we work together to build a better future for our children,” Nyamai said, adding that her office will continue to push for more national government projects in Kitui South.
