Outspoken and charismatic veteran politician Hon. Patrick Koki Musau was among several prominent leaders who joined Wiper Party Leader H.E. Kalonzo Musyoka for a Palm Sunday service at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Mwingi Central.
The service, which marked the beginning of Holy Week, brought together a large congregation of faithful from across Kitui County. It was a moment of spiritual reflection, but also carried strong undertones of political significance ahead of a charged political season.
Among those in attendance were Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua, Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi, Matungulu MP Stephen Mule, and a host of other regional leaders, who accompanied Kalonzo in showing solidarity with the church and its mission.
Following the Mass, Kalonzo presided over a major fundraising drive to support the completion of the church’s mission house — an initiative warmly received by clergy, local leaders, and residents. The event underscored Kalonzo’s longstanding ties to the church and his unwavering commitment to grassroots development.
In one of the most electrifying moments of the day, Hon. Patrick Koki Musau delivered a rousing speech that captivated the audience. Declaring his unshakable loyalty to Kalonzo, Musau pledged to champion his presidential ambitions in Mwingi West.
“I will be Mtu wa Mkono wa Kalonzo here in Mwingi West, ensuring he is given the respect he deserves — to the very last man,” Musau said, sparking cheers and applause from the gathered crowd.
His powerful remarks, delivered with trademark passion and conviction, reaffirmed Musau’s growing influence in the region’s political landscape and energized the faithful with a message of unity and purpose.
The event seamlessly blended faith and political aspiration, setting the tone for a hopeful and action-packed Easter season in Kitui County.
