MP Hopeful Henry Nyamai Inspects Road Works, Joins Community Events in Kitui East

Kitui East parliamentary hopeful Henry Nyamai spent Saturday engaging with residents across Zombe/Mwitika and Mutito/Kaliku wards, inspecting development projects and participating in community activities that attracted large crowds.

Nyamai began his tour at Kongowea in Zombe/Mwitika Ward, where he inspected the ongoing grading of the Kimangau–Kongowea road. The project was initiated following requests from local residents and Kenya Power to improve accessibility and support the ongoing electricity connectivity program in the area.

Speaking during the inspection, Nyamai said the road upgrade would enhance movement of people and goods while facilitating faster implementation of development projects. He noted that electricity connection in Kongowea is nearing completion and will soon benefit hundreds of households.

The MP hopeful also announced that all vandalized solar street lights in the area had been repaired and restored. He said the rehabilitation of the lights would boost security and create a conducive environment for business activities and social development.

Later in the day, Nyamai joined the family of Musyimi Kula in Kabati, Zombe, for a thanksgiving and parents’ celebration ceremony. The event brought together family members, friends, and community leaders in a show of unity and gratitude.

He later proceeded to Kaayo Comprehensive School, where he participated in a fundraising drive aimed at renovating classrooms and improving learning facilities. Nyamai praised residents of Kaayo and Manyoeni for supporting education and investing in the future of their children.

Addressing residents at the various events, Nyamai expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support he continues to receive across the constituency. He said the people of Kitui East are eager for development-oriented leadership and remain united in their pursuit of progress. “Ground iko sawa. I am deeply humbled by the unmatched love from our people. Pamoja twaweza,” he said.
