The Principal Secretary for Livestock Development, Hon. Jonathan Mueke, today joined Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki in Kitui Central for a high-impact empowerment event targeting women, youth, Jua Kali artisans, and Boda Boda SACCOs.
The event, hailed as a game-changer for the region, is part of the Government’s continued efforts to uplift grassroots communities and spur economic growth under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
Hon. Mueke expressed gratitude to President William Samoei Ruto and Deputy President Kindiki for bringing development initiatives to the people of Kitui.
“I extend my gratitude to H.E. President William Samoei Ruto and Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki for giving the people of Kitui this opportunity, which aligns squarely with the Government’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA),” he stated.
He reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to inclusive development: “As Government, we remain fully committed to transforming lives and ensuring that no one is left behind.”
The initiative is expected to unlock local economic potential and significantly boost livelihoods, especially for small-scale traders and informal sector players in Kitui County.
