Kitui South Member of Parliament, Hon. Dr. Rachael Nyamai, has issued a bold warning to those eyeing her parliamentary seat in the upcoming 2027 general election. Speaking confidently, the seasoned legislator asserted that she is well-prepared to defend her seat and is certain of defeating any challengers by a significant margin. Dr. Nyamai, now serving her third term, attributed her electoral success to her political resilience and strategic alignment with the ruling government.
Dr. Nyamai defended her decision to consistently support the sitting government, arguing that such alignment has brought visible development to the region. “Being on the government side has helped me bring tangible development to the people of Kitui South,” she stated. One of the major development projects she cited is the planned tarmacking of the Ikutha–Kanziko–Mutha–Mutomo road, a key infrastructure upgrade announced by President William Ruto’s administration through the Ministry of Roads and Infrastructure.
The MP emphasized that the road project, which falls under her stewardship, will greatly enhance regional connectivity and stimulate economic growth in Kitui South. She used this development milestone to underscore her commitment to the constituency and to challenge her political opponents to match her record.
