Kitui Deputy Governor H.E. Wambua Kanani joined former Vice President and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka during the official handover of a 51-seater school bus to Mama Pauline Kalonzo Girls Secondary School in Kyuso Ward, Mwingi North Sub-County.
The bus fulfils a commitment made by Kalonzo during the school’s renaming ceremony earlier this year, providing the institution with additional transport capacity to support its students in academic and co-curricular activities.
Speaking during the ceremony, Kanani reaffirmed Kitui’s political support for Kalonzo’s presidential bid ahead of the August 2027 General Election, describing the occasion as a reflection of the longstanding relationship between the former Vice President and the people of Kitui.
The Deputy Governor said education, development and effective leadership remain key priorities for the people of Kitui, while calling for unity as the county approaches the 2027 political season.
Kanani said Kitui would continue to rally around its political leadership, declaring that the county’s “son” would remain central to the political equation ahead of the 2027 elections.
The ceremony brought together Kitui County Executive Committee Members, Chief Officers, elected leaders and residents from the Kyuso community, who witnessed the formal handover of the bus to the girls’ school.
