Nicholas Mulila Initiates KSh70 Million Upgrade at Migwani Level 4 Hospital Through M-PESA Foundation
Migwani Level 4 Hospital in Mwingi West is set for a major transformation following the handover of the site for a KSh70 million upgrade project through the M-PESA Foundation.
The project will involve the construction and equipping of a new maternity wing, theatre and laboratory, alongside the construction of a new hospital gate and cabro works. The site handover and community sensitisation exercise mark the beginning of implementation, with the facilities expected to strengthen healthcare services for residents of Migwani and neighbouring areas.
The initiative has been associated with corporate leader Nicholas Muinde Mulila, who has been involved in efforts to link Kitui communities with development partners. His supporters have cited projects supported through the Safaricom and M-PESA foundations as part of his contribution to development initiatives in the county.
The Migwani hospital project adds to a series of partnerships involving private-sector foundations and local communities in Kitui, particularly in health and social infrastructure.
Mulila has also positioned himself as a prospective candidate in the 2027 Kitui gubernatorial race. His supporters have promoted the initiative using the slogans
