Yatta Kwa Vonza MCA Hon. Mark Nding’o has earned another moment of recognition after scooping two awards at the 9th Edition of the Africa Champions Awards International, a milestone he says reflects the hard work and commitment that come with serving the people.
Nding’o was recognised as the Best Performing Member of County Assembly of the Year 2026 in Kenya and Champion in Community Service of the Year 2026 during a ceremony held at Argyle Hotel last night. The awards mark the second year running that the legislator has been honoured by the organisation, adding to his journey in public service.
For Nding’o, the recognition goes beyond the trophies. It is a reminder that leadership requires consistency, sacrifice and a willingness to give one’s best, even when the work is not always easy. Sharing his joy after receiving the awards, he reflected on what it takes to become a champion.
“Champions are not born. They work for it. Champions don’t show up to get everything they want, but they show up to give everything they have,” he said, expressing gratitude to Africa Champions Awards International for honouring him for the second consecutive year.
The double win places the spotlight on Nding’o’s role as a representative of Yatta Kwa Vonza and his involvement in community service. For the people he represents, the recognition is an opportunity to reflect on the importance of leadership that remains connected to community needs. As he celebrates the achievement, the challenge ahead is to turn the recognition into renewed motivation to serve, deliver and make a lasting difference in the lives of residents.
