As the Lead Admin of Kitui Professional Forum, I wish to make my position clear: I will not be publicly endorsing any gubernatorial candidate for 2027 anytime soon.
The reason is simple and principled. We have a sitting Governor, H.E. Dr. Julius Malombe, EGH, duly elected to serve the people of Kitui from 2022 to 2027.
Dr. Malombe is a development juggernaut, a man made of steel. His focus, discipline, and commitment to transformative leadership deserve our respect and full support to complete the mandate given to him by the people.
It would be politically premature, morally unfair, and developmentally disruptive to start succession politics while the Governor is mid-stream in implementing his agenda for Kitui.
As professionals, our duty is to support institutions, promote development discourse, and hold leadership accountable, not to overheat the political environment with early endorsements.
When the right time comes, we shall engage objectively. For now, let us allow Governor Malombe to work.
