Kitui Central MP aspirant Nzilu Nzioka has intensified his grassroots engagement across the constituency, spending Thursday interacting with residents, supporting community activities and consoling bereaved families in Miambani and Kyangwithya East wards.
In Miambani Ward, Nzilu attended a welfare fundraiser in Makaani before joining the family and friends of the late Sam Shandaa of Kavalo in mourning. He also made impromptu stops at local market centres, where he interacted with wananchi and traders to hear their concerns and understand the challenges affecting them.
His engagements later took him to Kyangwithya East Ward, where he visited and offered condolences to the family of the late Leah Musyoka in Katyethoka and the family of the late Musyoka Kisasi in Mumbu, Itoleka Village.
The visits have continued to strengthen Nzilu’s grassroots presence, with his supporters describing his approach as leadership centred on direct interaction with residents beyond formal political gatherings.
Popularly known as “Kamwana Ka Wia,” Nzilu has positioned himself as a leader focused on consistent community engagement, arguing that effective leadership should be demonstrated through service and presence among the people.
As the 2027 elections approach, his continued grassroots activities are expected to shape the political conversation in Kitui Central, where he is seeking to succeed the current Member of Parliament.
