The two-storey building is a 74-bed capacity facility. *It transforms the current Level IV facility into a potential teaching and referral hospital, with specialization in the treatment of respiratory and infectious diseases,* serving the entire eastern region of Kitui County.
The KSh 200 million project is under the supervision of the Ministry of Defence, with PS Patrick Mariru promising to complete the project by December. The County Government is set to equip the facility and deploy healthcare workers.
