Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has issued a stern warning to former Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua, accusing him of persistently meddling in the affairs of her administration.

In a strongly worded statement, Governor Ndeti cautioned Mutua against what she termed as unwarranted interference, asserting that such conduct was undermining her leadership and the ongoing development agenda for the county.

“I want to categorically state that I will not allow anyone, including former leaders, to derail the progress we are making in Machakos. Let Dr. Alfred Mutua concentrate on his current roles and stop interfering with my administration,” she said.

Governor Ndeti further emphasized her commitment to delivering on her mandate, noting that her focus remains on fulfilling the promises she made to the people of Machakos. She warned that any attempts to destabilize her government would be met with firm resistance.

The remarks come amid growing political tensions in the county, with reports of friction between allies of the current and former governors. Dr. Mutua, who served as Machakos Governor for two terms, has yet to publicly respond to the accusations.

Governor Ndeti called for political maturity and urged leaders to respect boundaries, stating that the people of Machakos deserve peace, development, and good governance.

This development adds a new twist to the political dynamics in Machakos as the region gears up for future political realignments.
