State House Event Director Mr. Bonnie Musambi has lauded musician Biez Kaviru for his bold initiative to create awareness on cancer, describing him as a person with a “true heart of gold.”
Speaking in support of the campaign, Mr. Musambi said the State House team will offer support where possible to ensure the message on cancer awareness reaches its intended audience. He noted that such grassroots initiatives play a critical role in amplifying public health conversations and mobilizing national attention around life-threatening illnesses.
Biez Kaviru is currently undertaking a symbolic walk from Kitui to Nairobi’s State House, where he intends to plead with President William Ruto to declare cancer a national disaster. The musician says the journey is meant to spotlight the growing burden of cancer on Kenyan families and to push for stronger government intervention, improved access to treatment, and increased public awareness across the country.
