Deputy Speaker of the Kitui County Assembly and MCA for Kyangwithya West, Hon. Christopher Nzioka Nzilu, on Tuesday spread festive cheer after sharing food donations with several self-help groups, elderly residents of Ngengeka, and village elders from the surrounding areas.
The well-attended event saw over 700 residents benefit, with each person receiving 2 kilograms of wheat flour. The annual initiative has become a hallmark of Hon. Nzilu’s leadership, as he consistently uses the festive season to give back to vulnerable members of the community and strengthen social support at the grassroots.
Residents praised the MCA for his inclusive, people-centered leadership, noting that his impact has gone beyond Kyangwithya West Ward. They highlighted his accessibility, respect for elders, and commitment to community welfare as key strengths that set him apart.
In a strong show of confidence, locals urged Hon. Nzilu to contest for the Kitui Central parliamentary seat in the next general election. They encouraged him to widen his outreach beyond Kyangwithya West and seek support across all wards in the constituency.
“Kyangwithya West alone has more than 17,000 registered voters. We are ready to support him fully and mobilize votes across Kitui Central because he has proven his leadership capacity,” said one elder.
Residents pledged to stand with Hon. Nzilu “to the last man,” describing him as a visionary, humble leader whose service and development record demonstrate readiness for higher office.
The call adds to growing grassroots momentum and speculation around Hon. Nzilu’s political future, as community support continues to build around his consistent engagement and service-driven leadership.
