Popular Yatta Kwa Vonza MCA, Hon. Mark Ndingo, has urged the national government to devolve all remaining functions to counties to strengthen service delivery and empower local governance.

Speaking during a live interview on Mwatu FM as the country celebrated Katiba Day, marking 15 years since the promulgation of the 2010 Constitution, the vocal MCA hailed the gains brought by devolution, noting that Kenyans now feel more connected to their government.

“The new Constitution has given Kenyans the power to directly elect the President and Deputy President and has birthed two levels of government where citizens truly feel represented,” said Ndingo.

He further called on leaders at both the national and county levels to champion the full implementation of devolution laws, emphasizing that complete devolution will accelerate development and improve service delivery across counties.

Kenya promulgated its current Constitution on 27th August 2010, ushering in a new era of governance that decentralized power and resources, giving counties more control over their development agendas.
