Machakos County Assembly held a plenary session on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, presided over by Speaker Hon. Anne Kiusya, where several Members of County Assembly (MCAs) raised crucial development concerns affecting their wards.
Hon. Everlyn Nzeki (Kangundo East) sought a statement on the rehabilitation and operationalization of key boreholes in her ward and plans for additional water projects in the 2025/2026 financial year.
Hon. Paul Wambua (Kibauni) requested updates on multiple development projects including the construction of a health facility at Kiundwani AIC, ECDE centres, VTCs, boreholes, and local dams.
Hon. Francis Kavyu (Kinanie) sought clarification on the regularization of land under the Portland Cement Company.
The House also adopted a report by Hon. Daniel Ndwiki (Lands and Energy Committee) on unauthorized construction on Plot PDP No. 56/2018/01.
The Assembly is scheduled to resume sittings on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
