State House Director of Coordination, Hon. Boni Musambi, on Friday joined Deputy President Kithure Kindiki and other leaders during the Kitui Rural Constituency Economic Empowerment Engagement for Women and Youth SACCOs held at Kanyangi Grounds.
Musambi, a key figure in grassroots mobilization and development, lauded the initiative as a bold step toward transforming livelihoods in rural communities. He emphasized the importance of empowering women and youth through access to capital, skills training, and structured support systems such as SACCOs.
“This is the Kenya Kwanza government walking the talk. We are bringing resources closer to the people so that no one is left behind. Our youth and women are the pillars of economic growth, especially in regions like Kitui,” Musambi said.
Musambi, a native of Kitui County, has been instrumental in championing development programs in the region through his national office and strong local networks. His presence at the event was met with applause from local residents and beneficiaries, many of whom have followed his journey from media personality to national leadership.
The empowerment forum saw over 80 groups benefit through funding and support from various government programs aimed at boosting self-reliance and entrepreneurship at the grassroots level.
Musambi was part of a high-powered delegation that included Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah, Kitui South MP Dr. Rachael Nyamai, MP Mwengi Mutuse, Mwala MP Vincent Kawaya, Masinga MP Joshua Mwalyo, PS Jonathan Mueke, Kitui Speaker Kevin Kinengo, and several MCAs from Kitui County.
The leaders echoed a common message: Peace, economic empowerment, and unity are key to national progress.
