Inspired by similar incidents across the country, Kitui women say they are ready to take action. In one widely reported case, a woman in Nairobi created a WhatsApp group named “Girlfriends from hell ” using her boyfriend’s phone, adding his other lovers to reveal his cheating. Another woman shared how she was unknowingly added to a group titled “Co-wives,” where she discovered her boyfriend was dating multiple women.
“We are tired of betrayal. If they won’t be faithful, we will expose them,” said one woman involved in the initiative.
The trend of using digital platforms to shame cheating partners is growing among Kenyan women, with some also turning to traditional remedies or public confrontations.
