Kitui South was a hive of excitement today as Hon. Dr. Racheal Kaki Nyamai lit up the constituency with the 6th edition of the Bodaboda Empowerment Program, an initiative that has become a hallmark of her leadership. Over 1,000 bodaboda riders from across the region converged for a day of empowerment, unity, and progress.
The event, held under the banner of economic upliftment, saw riders from every corner rev their engines in solidarity, marking yet another milestone in the sector’s transformation.
Chief Guest Hon. Eng. Vincent Musau — popularly known as Kawaya — joined by Hon. Beth Syengo, Hon. Fabian Kyule, MCAs, and other dignitaries, expressed unwavering support for the bodaboda fraternity. In a charged address, Kawaya unveiled bold government plans aimed at enabling riders to fully own their motorcycles, thereby giving them greater control over their livelihoods and economic futures.
Dr. Nyamai, who played a pivotal role in leading two presidential campaigns for William Ruto, reiterated her commitment to grassroots empowerment. She urged the bodaboda community to embrace unity and collaborative effort, stressing that Kenya’s economic success depends on the active participation of all sectors.
“Today is more than just an event — it’s a movement,” Dr. Nyamai declared. “The engine of progress roars loudest when every rider is in the race.”
The program, now in its sixth edition, continues to position Kitui South as a model of community-driven development, proving that when leadership meets vision, transformation is inevitable.
