The residents of Kwa Vonza and its neighboring areas are celebrating the installation of high mast solar-powered street floodlights across four trading centers. The new lighting infrastructure has been hoisted at Kwavonza, Kiusyani, Kwakilui, and Nthongoni markets.
Speaking during the unveiling, Kwa Vonza MCA Hon. Mark Ndingo expressed his commitment to improving infrastructure and security in the ward.
“Lighting our trading centers is a big step toward safer and more vibrant night economies. We have installed high mast solar street floodlights in Kwavonza, Kiusyani, Kwakilui, and Nthongoni to ensure our residents and traders operate in a secure environment,” said Hon. Ndingo.
The project is expected to boost business hours, reduce crime, and improve overall quality of life for residents and traders in the area.
Local traders have lauded the initiative, noting that the improved lighting will attract more customers and create a safer environment for evening business.
