Deputy Governor Wambua Kanani is leading the charge, chairing a meeting with the KASTIE Steering Committee and Secretariat team to ensure the event exceeds expectations.
The Expo’s theme, “Promoting Sustainable Economic Development through Climate-Smart Agriculture, Agribusiness, MSMEs, Cooperatives, Investment, and Trade Initiatives,” resonates with the county’s vision for economic growth. The event is expected to attract over 100,000 attendees, including investors, farmers, and industry experts.
The team has inspected Ithookwe Stadium, the event venue, to ensure meticulous planning and execution. With six economic investment zones, Kitui County is poised to showcase its potential to local and international investors.
CECM for Agriculture and Livestock, Dr. Mbaya Kimwele, emphasized the importance of KASTIE 2026 in promoting climate-smart agriculture and agribusiness. The event promises to be a game-changer for Kitui County, driving economic development and creating opportunities for MSMEs and cooperatives.
KASTIE 2026 is set to put Kitui on the map as a premier agribusiness destination, with a lineup of activities, exhibitions, and investment forums. The county government is working tirelessly to ensure a successful event, with senior officials, including CECMs and senior county officials, fully engaged in the preparations.
