Kitui Central parliamentary aspirant Boniface Musambi has expressed strong confidence ahead of the 2027 General Election, stating that his growing popularity and grassroots support place him far ahead of the field.
Speaking exclusively to The County Diary, Musambi noted that lessons learned from the 2022 election have sharpened his political strategy, leaving him better prepared, well-resourced, and firmly grounded within a strong political party.
Reflecting on the previous contest, Musambi acknowledged the experience as a turning point that strengthened his resolve and approach. He emphasized that strategic planning, discipline, and humility now guide his political engagement as he builds a winning coalition across the constituency.
The Mulango-born leader urged fellow aspirants to focus on long-term political growth, noting that his vision extends beyond 2027. Musambi has indicated his intention to serve two terms as Member of Parliament before seeking the Kitui gubernatorial seat, signaling consistency and clarity in leadership ambition.
A former KBC journalist, Musambi has built a strong reputation for action over rhetoric. He has sponsored thousands of Kitui County youths to TVET institutions nationwide, supported needy secondary school students, and spearheaded impactful women and youth empowerment programmes.
His sustained philanthropic work has earned him widespread recognition and goodwill across Kitui Central.
While the race is expected to attract interest from serving MCAs and former county officials, Musambi remains the standout contender. In the 2022 General Election, he finished second out of seven candidates, outperforming several seasoned politicians—an outcome widely viewed as the foundation of his current momentum.
With experience, structure, and a proven development record, Musambi enters the 2027 race as a formidable front-runner in Kitui Central.
