The Kitui County Assembly on Monday morning conducted its sitting under the leadership of Deputy Speaker Hon. Christopher Nzilu, during which crucial papers were laid and formal notices issued concerning the approval of senior government appointments.
During the session, reports relating to the vetting and approval of County Secretaries (CSs), the Attorney, and the County Public Service Board (CPSB) Secretary were officially tabled before the House.
Members were also issued with notices indicating that the Assembly will debate the reports in the next sitting, paving the way for their adoption.
The Deputy Speaker guided the House through the proceedings, ensuring compliance with Standing Orders and facilitating smooth transaction of the Assembly’s business.
The debate on the reports is scheduled for tomorrow, where Members are expected to deliberate and make a final decision on the approval of the nominees.
The outcome of the debate will determine whether the appointments receive the Assembly’s endorsement, a key step in strengthening county governance and service delivery in Kitui.
