Former kitui Governor Charity Ngilu, together with Martha Karua and a host of women leaders, on Sunday visited Kang’o Ka Jaramogi to condole with Mama Dr. Ida Odinga following the passing of Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga. The leaders joined family and friends in paying their last respects to the veteran opposition leader, describing him as a statesman who dedicated his life to the fight for democracy, justice, and equality in Kenya.
Speaking during the visit, Ngilu mourned Raila as a visionary leader whose absence leaves a deep void in the nation’s political and moral fabric. She noted that Raila’s contribution to Kenya’s freedom and governance reforms will remain etched in history, saying, “Kenya is poorer without Raila’s presence. History will judge him very, very kindly.”
