Yatta Kwa Vonza MCA Hon. Mark Ndingo joined Governor Dr. Julius Malombe, MCAs, and the County Executive in issuing a joint communiqué after a 7-day retreat at PrideInn Flamingo Beach Resort, Mombasa.
The leaders reviewed three years of service delivery, with Governor Malombe announcing 2,244 projects completed across 16 sectors, reaching all 40 wards and 247 villages.
Key highlights include:
- 658,000 farmers trained and 1 million livestock vaccinated.
- 316 sand dams, 132 boreholes rehabilitated, and a KShs. 432M water project set to benefit 60,000 residents.
- 311 health facilities operational, ICU and cancer care expanded.
- 1,398 ECDE classrooms built and 928 km of new roads opened.
- Kitui Industrial Park 46% complete, with an International Investment Conference planned for May 2026.
Resolutions focused on water access, healthcare, roads, youth empowerment, and boosting county revenue to KShs. 1.3 billion by 2026.
Governor Malombe urged residents to attend Mashujaa Day celebrations at Ithookwe Stadium on October 20, 2025, to be presided over by President William Ruto.
Hon. Ndingo praised the retreat, calling it “a solid framework for accelerated service delivery as Kitui heads to 2027.”
