The leadership of the Machakos County Assembly on Thursday, September 4, 2025, held a staff engagement meeting at the Assembly precincts aimed at fostering teamwork, accountability, and staff welfare.
The session, chaired by the Assembly Speaker in his capacity as the Chair of the County Assembly Service Board (CASB), was attended by the Acting Clerk, Deputy Clerk, and members of the Board of Management. Proceedings opened with a prayer and a short sermon delivered by Pastor Lenny Kisese, setting a reflective and uplifting tone for the day’s deliberations.
In his opening remarks, the Speaker underscored the importance of carrying hope into public service, noting that fairness, discipline, and integrity remain the foundation of serving the people of Machakos. He reminded staff that their roles go beyond official duties, calling them a sacred responsibility to both humanity and God.
The Speaker further reassured staff of the Assembly Service Board’s commitment to their welfare, promising to nurture a supportive work environment that empowers every team member to excel. “We will continue building an Assembly that feels like home for all of us, as we serve the people of Machakos,” he affirmed.
The meeting was part of ongoing efforts by the Assembly leadership to strengthen staff engagement and inspire collective responsibility in delivering quality service to the people of Machakos.
