Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe on Friday led a section of his administration in paying a condolence visit to Kitui East Member of Parliament, Hon. Nimrod Mbai, at his Acacia Farm in Kitengela, following the passing of his beloved mother, the late Dorcas Kanini Mbai.
In his message of comfort, Governor Malombe eulogized Mama Dorcas as a pillar of grassroots development and a matriarch who played a vital role in shaping the values of the community. He emphasized the significance of such parents in the socio-economic transformation of rural areas, noting that their legacy continues to inspire generations.
“Parents like Mama Dorcas were instrumental in nurturing values, building communities, and laying the foundation for grassroots progress. Their contribution will never be forgotten,” Governor Malombe stated.
The Governor was accompanied by several Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) from Kitui County, who joined in expressing solidarity and offering prayers to the bereaved family during this difficult time.
Hon. Mbai, visibly moved by the show of support, thanked the Governor and the delegation for standing with his family, underscoring the importance of unity during moments of grief.
Mama Dorcas Kanini Mbai is remembered as a devoted mother and community elder who touched many lives through her generosity and commitment to service.
