Residents of Yatta Kwa Vonza Ward have expressed overwhelming appreciation for the County Government of Kitui under the stewardship of Governor Dr. Julius Malombe and area MCA Hon. Mark Ndingo, following the launch and implementation of several impactful development projects.
From improved infrastructure to enhanced access to clean water and healthcare services, the ward is witnessing visible transformation that has sparked hope among the locals. The slogan “Hapa Kwa Vonza ni Kazi Tu!” has become the rallying call for residents acknowledging the ongoing wave of development.
Addressing a public gathering at Kwa Vonza Market, community members applauded the County Government’s efforts in uplifting the ward, which for years lagged behind in service delivery.
“We are grateful to Governor Malombe and our MCA Mark Ndingo. They have brought change that we can see and feel,” said Mama Ndinda, a local trader. “The roads are being repaired, water projects are expanding, and our health centre is finally being improved.”
Key projects currently underway in the ward include:
- Rehabilitation and grading of key access roads in the area
- Expansion of Kwa Vonza Water Project to improve water supply
- Installation of floodlights in markets and busy trading centres
- Ongoing renovation and equipping of local dispensaries
- Youth and women empowerment initiatives through skills training and support programs
MCA Mark Ndingo, while speaking to residents, reaffirmed his dedication to working hand-in-hand with Governor Malombe’s administration to ensure no village in Yatta Kwa Vonza is left behind in the county’s development agenda.
“I am here to serve you, and I will continue pushing for more resources and projects for our ward. This is our time, and we must make it count,” said Hon. Ndingo.
Governor Malombe’s transformative agenda, anchored on the Kitui Promise manifesto, continues to gain traction across the county, with Yatta Kwa Vonza emerging as a model of grassroots development in action.
As the projects continue to take shape, the people of Vonza remain united in their praise and optimism, declaring with confidence — “Hapa Kwa Vonza ni Kazi Tu!”
