The Mwingi Professionals Forum and Business Community Coordinator, Mr. Campbell Munyambu, has urged the Kamba community to rally solidly behind Wiper Party leader Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka’s 2027 presidential bid. Speaking exclusively to TCD’s Senior Editor Mr. Yoana Kimwele, Munyambu emphasized that capturing the presidency is crucial, not just for the Kamba people but for the entire nation.

Munyambu underscored that the presidency would unlock immense opportunities for all Kenyans, adding that Kalonzo Musyoka represents a transformational leadership needed to steer the country in the right direction. “The presidency is all that we need, because it comes with everything needed for all Kenyans,” he said.

He criticized the ongoing trend where leaders frequently visit State House for development pledges, arguing that a people-centered presidency would eliminate such dependency. According to Munyambu, if the right person is elected—like Kalonzo—development will be guaranteed without the need for political lobbying at the executive level.

Calling for unity among Kamba leaders, Munyambu appealed for a broader coalition with other communities to ensure a strong and united front. He dismissed recent sentiments by some Wiper leaders suggesting that any opposition candidate would suffice to challenge President William Ruto in 2027, terming such statements misleading and divisive.

“The only option we have is Kalonzo Musyoka,” he affirmed. “Option one is Kalonzo, option two is Kalonzo, and option three is still Kalonzo.” Munyambu insisted that all efforts must now be geared toward mobilizing nationwide support for Kalonzo, urging all leaders to set aside personal interests and focus on the bigger goal ahead of the 2027 general elections.
