The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has appointed Sammy Lulii, the current Head of Communications in the office of Principal Secretary for livestock and development hon Jonathan Mueke, as the official photographer for Kenya’s men’s national football teams.
Popularly known as “The Gunner” on social media platform X, Luli is a well-known figure in sports and media circles, celebrated for his sharp eye behind the lens and his dynamic storytelling through photography. His new role will see him cover Harambee Stars and other men’s national teams, documenting key moments on and off the pitch.
His appointment came after two stints of assignment 1. Assigned as Harambee Stars photographer during their preparation and participation in Mapinduzi Cup held in Pemba, Zanzibar early this year
2. Assignment as Harambee Stars during their preparation and participation in the AFCON qualifiers held in Ivory Coast in Match and now with the Rising Stars in Cairo, Egypt where they’re participating in AFCON Championship.
Luli’s appointment signals FKF’s commitment to enhancing the visibility and branding of Kenya’s national teams through high-quality media content.
The appointment also reflects a growing collaboration with Media, FKF in professionalizing sports management and media in Kenya.
Luli, known for his vibrant and timely football photography, welcomed the new role with enthusiasm, vowing to deliver compelling visuals that capture the passion, pride, and promise of Kenyan football.
