Popular Ukambani comedian Ndeke ya Muthanga, widely known for his satirical takes on regional politics, has officially withdrawn his support for Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti and thrown his weight behind Mavoko MP Hon. Patrick Makau.
In a surprise political twist, Ndeke paid a courtesy call to Hon. Makau at the Parliament Buildings, where the two engaged in what sources termed as “an insightful interaction on the future of Machakos County.”

Makau, who has been widely touted as a potential 2027 gubernatorial candidate, expressed his delight at hosting the comedian and praised his bold stance.
“Thank you, Ndeke, for your visit and your support for progressive leadership. Together, we must transform Machakos County,” Makau told the press following the meeting.
Ndeke ya Muthanga, who previously aligned himself with Governor Wavinya Ndeti, did not mince his words, suggesting that Machakos deserves fresh, visionary leadership. His endorsement is seen as both symbolic and strategic, given his strong grassroots following and influence among the youth.
The meeting has sparked speculation that Makau’s campaign machinery is beginning to take shape ahead of the next elections, and the departure of key supporters from Governor Wavinya’s corner could signal deeper discontent within her political base.
