In a transformative initiative aimed at empowering young people, Arizona International College, in partnership with the County Government of Machakos, has launched the issuance of 800 licences to 800 youths across the county.
The event, which is currently underway, marks a significant milestone in youth empowerment and skills development in the region. The licences, fully sponsored by the county government, will enable the beneficiaries to access new job opportunities, particularly in sectors such as transport, construction, and other technical fields.
Speaking during the launch, county officials emphasized the importance of investing in youth to drive economic growth and reduce unemployment. Representatives from Arizona International College also expressed their commitment to continuing such partnerships to uplift communities.
This initiative is part of Governor Wavinya Ndeti’s broader agenda to equip young people with practical skills and qualifications that can open doors to employment and entrepreneurship.
