Jordan Hospital has announced that it will hold Lab Week 2025 from April 21st to April 26th at its facility located along Kilungya Street in Kitui Town. The event aims to raise awareness about the critical role of laboratory testing in healthcare, under this year’s theme: “Lab Saves Lives – Testing Through Every Stage of Life.”
Throughout the week, residents will have access to a variety of essential medical tests, including:
- Kidney and liver function tests
- Prostate screening
- Thyroid function tests
- Cholesterol level checks
In a bid to encourage more people to get screened, Jordan Hospital is also offering special incentives. With any paid test, clients will receive one free test, choosing from Amoeba test (stool for O/C), urinalysis, blood group test, RBS (diabetes screening), or haemoglobin level test. Additionally, there will be a 50% discount on all tumor marker tests.
The hospital will also host free health talks focusing on the importance of laboratory testing in early disease detection and preventive care.
