In preparation for the MAM 2025 season, farmers in Athi Ward received training on good agricultural practices to improve their farming techniques from Kitui County Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock extension officers.

On 4th March 2025, individual farm visits were conducted at both Mary Munuve’s farm, where semi-circular bunds for pasture development were being established, and at Jim Kingoto’s farm, where mango fruit tree grafting was being carried out.

Following these visits, a group training session on laying out terraces took place on 5th March 2025, further enhancing sustainable farming methods. These activities are designed to equip farmers with the skills needed to achieve better agricultural outcomes.
